Mobile remapping vs Dyno RemappingMobile mapping tends to be priced much cheaper at around £150-£300 vs dyno tuning which tends to be priced from £350-£800+ for most remapping companies. While mobile tuning may seem cheaper initially, dyno tuning offers a more precise and comprehensive tuning process. Dyno tuning allows for real-time adjustments and monitoring under controlled conditions, ensuring optimal performance and reliability for your vehicle. This normally leads to getting more horsepower and less risk of damaging your turbo or engine. Whereas mobile remapping (most of the time), tends to focus on a quick process of loading a file onto your cars computer that can cause massive issues. This can be because the file isn't good for your car and is sourced from a poor database and at the same time, not properly dialed into your car. Our word of advice is to invest the extra amount into a full dyno tune so you can get not just accurate evidence of your cars new power, but also peace of mind for the reliability of your remap.
-
What is dyno tuning?Dyno tuning is the process of optimizing a vehicle's engine performance by adjusting the engine control unit (ECU) settings using a dynamometer. This process ensures the engine runs efficiently and maximizes power output.
-
Why should I get my vehicle dyno tuned?Dyno tuning improves your vehicle's performance, fuel efficiency, and reliability. It can also help diagnose and resolve performance issues, ensuring your engine runs smoothly. It will tell you if your car is actually producing the power it should.
-
How long does a dyno tuning session take?A typical dyno tuning session can take anywhere from 2 to 4 hours, depending on the complexity of the vehicle and the tuning required. Stage 1 tends to be the quickest, while other stages tend to have more variables and need to be properly tested and refined to ensure safe power increases. Lots of remapping shops tend to neglect this area and get the remaps installed into a car as quick as they can without proper safety testing and feedback application. This causes major issues for the customer, which can often result in a turbo or engine blowing up.
-
Is dyno tuning safe for my vehicle?Yes, dyno tuning is safe when performed by experienced professionals. We take all necessary precautions to ensure your vehicle is safely secured and monitored during the process. Lots of remapping shops are known to load a file onto your cars computer and leave it at that. When you remap a car with a bad file and don't safety test the car, it creates major issues. This has given our industry a bad name and makes people believe that tuning/remapping is dangerous for the car. To properly get a safe remap on your vehicle, you need to follow the safest possible route, which is custom dyno tuning. Yes it costs more, but it gives you peace of mind for your vehicle.

How long does a vehicle wrap last? With proper care, a high-quality vehicle wrap can last between 5 to 7 years. Longevity depends on factors like exposure to the elements, maintenance, and quality of the wrap.
-
Can I wash my vehicle after it's been wrapped?Yes, you can wash a wrapped vehicle. Hand washing is recommended to preserve the wrap's appearance. Avoid using high-pressure washers and harsh chemicals. Once you get your vehicle wrapped its advised to wait around 1-2 weeks before washing. You should also avoid driving it in the rain for the same amount of time.
-
My car has dents or poor bodywork, can I still get it wrapped?Yes, you can still get your car wrapped even if it has dents or poor bodywork. BUT, we don't work on cars like this, as we have high standards and need to make sure every customers car is perfect. Its not a great idea to wrap over a car with poor bodywork. This is because the wrap will not hide imperfections and might even highlight them. For the best results, we have a partner that will repair any dents or damaged areas before applying the wrap. This ensures a smooth and flawless finish, enhancing the overall appearance of your vehicle.

Wrapping vs Painting a CarBoth wrapping and painting have their advantages, and the best choice depends on your specific needs and preferences. Cost: Vehicle wrapping is generally less expensive than a high-quality paint job. Wrapping can also be more cost-effective for intricate designs and custom graphics. Variety: Wraps offer a wide range of colors, finishes (matte, gloss, satin), and textures (carbon fiber, brushed metal) that might be difficult or expensive to achieve with paint. Reversibility: Wraps are removable, allowing you to change the look of your car or revert to the original paint without permanent changes. Paint, on the other hand, is permanent. Protection: Wraps protect the original paint from UV rays, minor abrasions, and contaminants, preserving the car's resale value. Paint does not offer this level of protection. Durability: High-quality wraps can last 5 to 7 years with proper care. Paint can last longer but may require touch-ups and maintenance over time. In summary, if you want a cost-effective, reversible, and versatile option that also protects your car's original paint, wrapping is a great choice. If you prefer a permanent change and potentially greater durability, painting might be the better option.
-
How long does it take to wrap a vehicle? The wrapping process usually takes 3-7+ days, depending on the size of the vehicle and the complexity of the design. We like to quality test and ensure the wrap has been fitted and corrected before leaving our shop. This is why we give you a worse case scenario time.
-
Will vehicle wrapping damage my paint? No, vehicle wrapping does not damage the paint. In fact, it can protect the original paint from UV rays, minor abrasions, and contaminants.
-
Can I remove the wrap if I want to change it or go back to the original color?Yes, vehicle wraps are removable. When professionally removed, they will not damage the original paintwork. (DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REMOVE THE WRAP YOURSELF). Wrap removal requires a specific process, and if not followed, it can cause very expensive damage to your vehicles paintwork.
