VEHICLE REMAPPING EXPLAINED
Vehicle remapping optimizes your engine's performance. It enhances fuel efficiency, providing better mileage and saving you money at the pump.
Remapping also increases power and torque, improving acceleration and overall driving experience, which is particularly beneficial for overtaking, racing, towing or climbing steep hills. Many worry that remapping might harm the engine or void the warranty, but when done professionally, it adheres to safety limits, ensuring the engine operates within its capabilities.
Additionally, modern remapping software often comes with a backup of the original settings, allowing you to revert to the factory configuration if needed. This combination of improved performance, fuel savings, and the ability to revert changes makes remapping a practical and reversible upgrade for many drivers.
TUNING STAGES EXPLAINED

STAGE 1
ptimizes the ECU settings without any hardware changes, providing a noticeable boost in power (up to 40% more), torque, and fuel efficiency.
It's a quick and safe upgrade that enhances overall performance with no physical modifications required.

STAGE 2
involves more aggressive ECU tuning along with essential hardware upgrades like a high-flow exhaust and performance air intake. This stage offers a significant increase in power and responsiveness, making it ideal for those seeking enhanced performance and handling.

STAGE 3
pushes your vehicle to its maximum potential with extensive ECU tuning and substantial hardware modifications, such as larger turbochargers and high-performance fuel injectors. This stage is designed for high-performance or racing applications, delivering maximum power and customized performance.

CUSTOM STAGE
includes advanced modifications like engine forging, methanol injection, and bespoke turbo systems. Designed for extreme performance, it offers unparalleled power and precision for professional racing or high-performance enthusiasts. This level requires expert craftsmanship to ensure peak efficiency and reliability under extreme conditions.

Mobile remapping vs Dyno RemappingMobile mapping tends to be priced much cheaper at around £150-£300 vs dyno tuning which tends to be priced from £350-£800+ for most remapping companies. While mobile tuning may seem cheaper initially, dyno tuning offers a more precise and comprehensive tuning process. Dyno tuning allows for real-time adjustments and monitoring under controlled conditions, ensuring optimal performance and reliability for your vehicle. This normally leads to getting more horsepower and less risk of damaging your turbo or engine. Whereas mobile remapping (most of the time), tends to focus on a quick process of loading a file onto your cars computer that can cause massive issues. This can be because the file isn't good for your car and is sourced from a poor database and at the same time, not properly dialed into your car. Our word of advice is to invest the extra amount into a full dyno tune so you can get not just accurate evidence of your cars new power, but also peace of mind for the reliability of your remap.
-
What is dyno tuning?Dyno tuning is the process of optimizing a vehicle's engine performance by adjusting the engine control unit (ECU) settings using a dynamometer. This process ensures the engine runs efficiently and maximizes power output.
-
Why should I get my vehicle dyno tuned?Dyno tuning improves your vehicle's performance, fuel efficiency, and reliability. It can also help diagnose and resolve performance issues, ensuring your engine runs smoothly. It will tell you if your car is actually producing the power it should.
-
How long does a dyno tuning session take?A typical dyno tuning session can take anywhere from 2 to 4 hours, depending on the complexity of the vehicle and the tuning required. Stage 1 tends to be the quickest, while other stages tend to have more variables and need to be properly tested and refined to ensure safe power increases. Lots of remapping shops tend to neglect this area and get the remaps installed into a car as quick as they can without proper safety testing and feedback application. This causes major issues for the customer, which can often result in a turbo or engine blowing up.
-
Is dyno tuning safe for my vehicle?Yes, dyno tuning is safe when performed by experienced professionals. We take all necessary precautions to ensure your vehicle is safely secured and monitored during the process. Lots of remapping shops are known to load a file onto your cars computer and leave it at that. When you remap a car with a bad file and don't safety test the car, it creates major issues. This has given our industry a bad name and makes people believe that tuning/remapping is dangerous for the car. To properly get a safe remap on your vehicle, you need to follow the safest possible route, which is custom dyno tuning. Yes it costs more, but it gives you peace of mind for your vehicle.
